Greetings from AISSNMM !!

We are a grass root level voluntary organization working in Sivagangai District of Tamilnadu,India for the past 19 Years. We have worked among the poorest and the under privileged for their upliftment in various areas of Education, Health, Environment, Income Generation and Development, through financial and Technical support from National and International Organizations.

We have planned to work to control Parthenium Hysterophorus (weed) which is having toxic effects on both Human Health and livestocks. We have analysed the effect of Parthenium . It reacts with the skin of human being also make chronic lichensified eczema. It also causes necrosis of kidney and liver of livestocks. We also think that the same effect also caused by Parthenium to human beings. The Analysis work is also progressing.

We have planned to work under the following things to control the Parthenium:

1) Make public awareness against the Parthenium.
2) control Parthenium by organic phosphate application
3) Apply biological Control methods by using Mexican beetle that is , Zygogramma bicolorata.
4) Produce organic manure by decomposing the Parthenium plant before flowering.
5) To organize school students ,college students , Self Help Groups ,panchayat sector and People moments to eradicate Parthenium

We are expecting the grant and aid and guide from you to prevent laks and laks of people from asthma and other health problems created by Parthenium. We are also have agriculture graduates and scientists for this project.
