Dear Dr. Oudhia,

I am preparing a review on Parthenium hysterophorus weed. Your WAP Institute being topmost centre for weeds, hence, I expect that you might have information about the state-wise distribution of this weed in Country-wise distribution in foreign countries. If this information is available in your Institute or in Library, please send immediately by Speed Post.

With regards,

Prof. S.S. Narwal
National Fellow (Allelopathy)

Dear Dr.Oudhia,
Hope this letter finds you in pink of health. I have posted i.e.vol 8/3.your article has been published in page no114. I have, in the same issue published an article on zygogramma (119-121)you can put this on website . I have comments on this article which is as follows: 1. Mere physical presence of the beetles at a locality does not indicate either the functional spread or extent of suppression of parthenium. So one has to quantify the suppression and record beetle population year after year at locality .This is essential because beetles move from locality to another , often without effectively suppressing the weed over a batch feeding of beetles on other plants need also be recorded .We have observed that beetle production declines sharply at a patch .

With warmest regards,
A. K. Chakravarthy
