Dear Dr.Oudhia,
It gives me immense pleasure to know that young scientist like you have taken initiative to organise SOPAM and launched a group named IPRNG.Since this weed has spread like a wild fire to almost all parts of country, people need to be educated about its harmful effects and control measures .Even in the areas where this weed has not yet entered ,awareness is required to be created amongst public about its harmful efects and preventive measures to be adopted so that its further spread could be checked. The website will help to fulfill this endeaver.

With best wishes,

Dear Dr.Oudhia,
I am happy to know that you have launched IPRNG website.Seeing the gravity of problem the starting of website of is a  step in right direction. In this connection I would propose the following suggestions:

  1. Important should be given to as to how to identify the Parthenium plant-the detail taxonomic and easily identifiable characteristics should be given so that even the layman can identify the weed.
  2. It is important to highlight the history and the ill effects caused by the weed on humans, livestock, and particularly on biodiversity.
  3. The states and the areas uch affected by the weed should be identified and recorded.
  4. Various management practices followed to eradicte the weed should be emphasized.
  5. The role of community in eradication should be highlighted.
  6. Various awareness programmeas conducted in the country (in schools, colleges, etc.) should be recorded in the website from time to time.
  7. Various manual eradication camps conducted in the country should be given a due place in the website and the best work may be rewarded.
  8. Recent abstracts of researchers and research papers on the various aspects of this weed should be given as this will enable to update the knowledge.

I wish you all the best.
