weed. At the moment we have no new work going on Parthenium weed. This is probably true
for all of Australia. It is possible that a group called the parthenium research group
will be re established in Australia in the very near future. If that occurs we will be

I myself Abhishek Amit. Presently persuing my (B.A).I am resident of
PURNEA ,BIHAR .One day as I was on the way for my
morning walk I saw a weed like PARTHENIUM ,as it was very similar to the said weed I came
closer and examined that weed and came to the conclusion that the weed is PARTHENIUM .As
per described in my PLUS TWO text book.I also came to know about its adverse effect on the
human and Animal.After that I tried to seek more information about it But I was not
satisfied. Today I visited your site today and came to know that there is a organitation
about it.Here in Purnea, as per my survey most of the idle land is covered by the noxious
weed say 50%.I think no one knows about it here, if someone knows also no one is taking
interest in it. I would like to do some thing .So please help me in doing so. For this
I'll be ever thankful to you.

I will be thankful if you can give me the postal address of S.R.Dhawan, who worked on
parthenium , and submitted his M.phil dissertation, under the guidance of Prof K.R.Aneja,
of Kurukshetra University, KUK, Haryana. I am junior to him and completed Ph.D under Prof
K.R.Aneja, my thesis work is related to Biocontrol of Aquatic weeds ,especially on
Waterhyacinth.My wife did work on parthenium , and completed M.Phil under Prof KR
Aneja.One of research paper is there in your list, like
"Aneja, K.R.; M. Kaur and A. Sharma (1994). Leaf spot disease of Parthenium
hysterophorus a new disease record. Natl. Acad. Sci. Lett. 17(9/10) :179-180."
So, my request is if you can send me the details of S.R. Dhawan , i will be highly
