Sir,

Greetings to you! I am doing my research on the herbicidal effect of fungal metabolites under the guidance of Dr. R. Sekar, Reader in Botany, Thiagarajar College, Madurai .I just want to know the previous records on weed / Parthenium control using fungal metabolites. It will be great guidance to me if you kindly give a helping hand in this regard.

Anticipating your favorable reply.

Thank you
Yours sincerely,
Manorama Dhanaseeli.

Pankajjee,
           Namaskar!

While surfing for details on medicinal plants I came across your reference and that   u r working on above issue. While I was reading about one Dr. Shripad Dabholkar and his Prayog Parivar, I came across this info:
"Grape growers had used cart loads of much hated dreaded weed Parthenium as a friend to fill up their trenches and earned excellent results."

More details on the work of  Dr. Dabholkar visit http://persmin.nic.in/arpg/ideas.htm#7

I am particularly interested in propagating medicinal/aromatic plants in Western Ghat area in India, and in a process of collecting relevant info. especially on simple methods which cd be employed by a common man in his house to get intermediatery products for value addition.

If you can help me in this, I wd greatly appreciate that.

Regards,
Shridhar Alurkar
